Another trip driven by the need for Susan to get a new Russian visa. This time we decided to combine it with a real vacation in honor of our 16th wedding anniversary. In Paris we stayed with our friend Madeleine, her husband Jean, and their daughter, Isaure. We also visited three wonderful towns in Normandy. The weather wasn't on our side, but it was a memorable trip none-the-less.

  • Bayeux Tapestry Museum. Believed to have been completed in 1077, the Tapestry is a 230 feet (70 meters) long embroidered work depicting the 1066 Norman invasion of England by William the Conqueror. Absolutely amazing (not photos allowed inside).
