Pskov-Псков (07.2009)

Pskov - Founded in 903 A.D., the medieval city of Pskov is one of Russia's oldest cities. Pskov has been subjected to invasion throughout its history, from the Mongol hordes to the Nazis, who occupied the city for 3 years. During the 16th century, Pskov was likened to Paris for its size & splendor. Although unlike Paris today, this city of 200,000 located in northwest Russia, retains a timeless beauty. I accompanied Rustem on this business trip, a 12 hour train ride from Moscow.
