Not always so successful or interesting, & not always daily, though certainly a reflection of our daily lives - more like pick of the day. Our goal - to share our world and improve our skills. The photo of the day will always be in first position. Thank you for looking. - Rustem Safronov & Susan Gilman a.k.a. RuSu. This gallery was started on October 26, 2010.

Thanks for all your comments yesterday. Hope you're having good weather & wishing all an enjoyable weekend.
 • Owl at an animal rehab center. In larger sizes you can see his left wing is damaged. (6.17.2011)
 • Out very early again this morning to see yet another specialist, so in honor of what would have been my grandparents 90th anniversary (they were married 62 years before my grandmother died), here's a photo of them I love. No idea when or why it was taken, but I love how my grandfather's so relaxed lounging in his smoking jacket, while my Nanna sits so prim & proper beside him. Only the little bandage on her knee mars her perfection. (Not retouched or restored) (6.16.2011)
 • Old Russian architecture seen through the trees in Vladikavkaz. (6.15.2011)

Thanks for all your comments on yesterday's boat shot. Was very surprised to see it at the top when we woke up this morning. Have a relaxing summer Sunday.

Sorry I didn't have time to comment yesterday. Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend.

 • Out early this A.M., so here's a recent, though not new, shot of the Buddha at the Tsugol Monastery. Glad yesterday's piggie brought a few laughs. Have a good day. (6.7.2011)
 • Here's lookin' at you. Hope your week's off to a good start. (6.6.2011)
 • We've had glorious weather all this week. Now if only I had a yard with a white picket fence... Wishful thinking. Have a wonderful Sunday. (6.5.2011)
 • Grandmother arranging flowers in Beslan's City of Angels Cemetery.

On the 1st day of school, September 1, 2004, terrorists took over a school in Beslan & held more than 1,000 people including 777 children hostage for 3 days. 334 hostages, many of them children, lost their lives. This cemetery was built for the victims. (6.4.2011)
 • One of the most iconic structures in Russia, the Church of the Transfiguration has 22 sparkling aspen domes. Built in 1714, the church is a UNESCO World Heritage site. No nails were used in its construction. (Kizhi Island)

This is from our archives, but reworked today. (6.3.2011)
 • Felt badly for this big guy who seems to have some kind of infection above one of his soulful eyes.
Thanks for your comments on yesterday's portrait. (6.2.2011)
