Project RuSu 365

Not always so successful or interesting, & not always daily, though certainly a reflection of our daily lives - more like pick of the day. Our goal - to share our world and improve our skills. Thanks to all the members of the SmugMug Daily Community for your support and input. Feel free to leave feedback by clicking on 'Add Comment' below. We look forward to hearing your thoughts. The photo of the day will always be in first position. Thank you for looking. - Rustem Safronov & Susan Gilman a.k.a. RuSu. This gallery was started on October 26, 2010.

  • Owl at an animal rehab center. In larger sizes you can see his left wing is damaged. (6.17.2011)
  • Out very early again this morning to see yet another specialist, so in honor of what would have been my grandparents 90th anniversary (they were married 62 years before my grandmother died), here's a photo of them I love. No idea when or why it was taken, but I love how my grandfather's so relaxed lounging in his smoking jacket, while my Nanna sits so prim & proper beside him. Only the little bandage on her knee mars her perfection. (Not retouched or restored) (6.16.2011)

On the 1st day of school, September 1, 2004, terrorists took over a school in Beslan & held more than 1,000 people including 777 children hostage for 3 days. 334 hostages, many of them children, lost their lives. This cemetery was built for the victims. (6.4.2011)
  • One of the most iconic structures in Russia, the Church of the Transfiguration has 22 sparkling aspen domes. Built in 1714, the church is a UNESCO World Heritage site. No nails were used in its construction. (Kizhi Island)<br />
