First berries of the season from Krasnodar in southern Russia (6.3.2012)
I'd bought some yesterday at the weekend market and they were so good we went back together today to get some more. The head of the market spotted me shooting & came over asking me why, what for, etc. After explaining it was a just a hobby he not only allowed me to shoot, but presented us with a gift of strawberries, cherries, pears, grapes, cukes & tomatoes. Rustem said, "See, you complain a lot about Russia, but look at the advantages you have being a cute, funny foreigner". Not so sure about cute or funny, but once in a blue moon these small acts of kindness & generosity make Russia special.

on June 3, 2012WOW, these look luscious, beautiful shot...would like to reach through the screen and get a handful!
Thanks for your comments regarding tomatoes...will definitely give the hybrids a try next year! Also, you're right...my shot today IS a rock LOL! I've corrected my post, I do have a cork bark shot somewhere, I'll try and find it.
Sorry about your shot today. What is just as strange, I don't see your icicle shot at all, your escalator shot is the one preceding your strawberries. I had a similar issue with my most popular gallery. I turned off the thumbs feature for a day or so and then turned thumbs back on except in the Dailies (according to SM, thumbs have been disabled in the Daily Community). Doing so really messed up my most popular gallery. The funny thing is, my most popular shots based on comments anyway, no longer show as the most popular. In fact, a couple of them aren't even in the most popular gallery...Makes me wonder if the problem isn't somehow with SM. I contacted SM but the issue persists...oh well...
